Maserati enriches the Italian electric boat scene

Just as Maserati celebrates its 110th anniversary, the iconic Italian carmaker is taking a big step into a new market by launching a stylish and fully electric boat.

With the introduction of the Maserati Tridente, the brand adds another exclusive brand to the Italian boating scene, already known for its luxurious and high-quality products.

Maserati's entry into the yachting industry is part of the celebration of its long-standing heritage, but the new Maserati Tridente runabout is not an entirely in-house developed project. Instead, it has chosen to collaborate with the well-known American shipyard Hodgdon Yachts, which has a long history of producing luxury tenders. This collaboration has resulted in a 10.5 meter boat that combines Maserati's distinctive design philosophy with Hodgdon Yachts' technical expertise.

Launched at the same time as Maserati's latest electric car, the electric Tridente offers a perfect blend of style and sustainability. The boat's elegant design and advanced electric drive are a clear indication of Maserati's ambition to position itself as a player to be reckoned with even at sea.

On board the Maserati Tridente, there's plenty of room for both relaxation and action. With a cockpit that can accommodate up to eight people and a generous swim platform, the boat is perfect for sunny days at sea or in port. The large sunbed at the stern also offers an ideal place for sunbathing and relaxing.

On board is a 600-horsepower electric motor connected to a 252 kWh battery that charges from empty to full in under an hour. The motor was developed in collaboration with electric motor manufacturer Vita Power. Maserati themselves claim that the boat's top speed lands around 40, and with a comfortable cruising speed of 25 knots.

The price tag of this unique piece is in the neighborhood of SEK 30 million. Delivery of boat number 1 is expected by the end of 2024.
