Lysekil first to use super fast charger for boats!
In central Lysekil, near Rosvik Square in the South Harbour, the installation of a super fast charger of over 150 kW for both boats and cars is now starting.
The charging station is planned to be commissioned in April 2024 just in time for the start of the boating season.
"With Lysekil's location by the sea, it feels natural that we should be at the forefront of the marine and through charging infrastructure prepare the opportunity for green transition for leisure boats" says Mikael Niklasson, Project Manager Innovative Energy Services, at LEVA in Lysekil.
The installation is a joint effort by LEVA i Lysekil AB and Lysekil municipality and part of the project go:LEIF. The port of Lysekil is one of the project's three partner ports.
Lysekil municipality is the first in Sweden with super fast charging for electric boats and will with this investment gain a leading position when it comes to public charging infrastructure for leisure boats in Sweden.
