Danish RAND releases 100% electric sports boat

We have seen electric boats from RAND before with their Rand 28 Leisure and Rand 25 Spirit - two electric boats that impressed even then. Now they are taking the plunge and have created a boat that is completely optimized for electric operation, with all that that entails.

The new Rand Realm 44 can be equipped with dual electric motors and battery packs of 300 kW and 440 kWh respectively. Alternatively, it can be fitted with two Mercury outboard engines, or Mercruiser or Volvo Penta inboards, with engine power ranging from 370 to 600 hp per engine.

The Realm 44 stands out as a luxurious and well-equipped boat, the largest Rand has created to date at 13.5 meters in length. A particular point of pride are the powerful solar panels on the T-roof, which, according to the manufacturer, make it possible to do without an off-grid generator, providing a self-sufficient experience during longer adventures. The boat offers spacious accommodation both indoors and outdoors, with four berths and room for up to eleven people in the generous U-shaped seating area in the cockpit. One of the most prominent features, however, is the panoramic lounge, which provides a fantastic amount of light through large windows in both the walls and ceiling.
